"> Pollution is a consequence of society - we will have waste but there's always the question of 'what we should be doing with it?'  Here in Memphis TN when trash and garbage is dumped in the streets it finds its way to our sewer drainage pipes and those pipes all find their way into the Mississippi River.  A group at the University of Memphis known as the 'Memphis River Warriors' is focused on cleaning up this trash that finds its way down to the Mississippi. We had the pleasure of speaking with the founder of the Memphis River Warriors, University of Memphis QEP Director, Academic Coaching & Support Services, Colton Cockrum.  In talking with him he expressed a need for urgency in people to simply care about the area they are living in.  Whether that be by watching where our waste is placed, or caring for our neighbors - his interest truly lies with Memphis as a community. intro/outro by HEELS Help support the rostcast by making any regular purchase @ theoamnetwork.com/amazon
