In honor of MLK Day and the 50th anniversary of Dr. King’s death, we take a look at the special role that music played in Dr. King’s life and how it informed his worldview and his work during the Civil Rights Movement. We also review how Dr. King’s tragic death affected musicians and their art, particularly here in Memphis.
